Amanda Young TEP

Justice of the Peace since January 2011, Amanda has worked in the corporate and International Financial Services Industry in Belize since March 2003 with her first 9 years at Barrow and Williams Law Firm as the firm’s Administrative Director for the IFS department.  In 2012 after gaining a wealth of experience in the industry, Amanda began focusing on Trusts and Foundations when she joined the trust team of Bay Trust International Limited/Broadway Trust Consultancy Services Limited as the International Trust Manager.  Moving on from Bay Trust and now as a member of the ITSL/ICS team, Amanda’s main role as Trust Manager includes management of the trust company.  She is also responsible for overseeing the operation and services of the company, which includes full trust and foundation administration services and management of multi-jurisdictional structures.

Amanda has been a full member of STEP since December 2011 and was appointed the Secretary of the Belize Chapter of STEP in 2012 and the Chair of the Chapter in 2015.  She has successfully studied STEP’s Certificate in Foundations and has been actively involved in Foundation establishment and management since the passing of the Belize International Foundations Act and the International Foundations Regulations in 2010.  She has also successfully studied the International Compliance Association’s Certificate examinations in Anti-Money Laundering, Compliance Awareness and Financial Crimes Awareness.
